I’m so excited to be exhibiting and selling at Handmade Chelsea next week!
The covid pandemic that reared its ugly head at the beginning of last year threw the whole world into dissaray and rearranged all of our lives. A mainstay of my business and indeed my life over the last ten years of running CHELACHE has been the craft shows, fairs and markets, where I have met the loveliest people; both fellow designer makers and of course my customers! All such shows in 2020 were, of course, cancelled and so I haven’t exhibited at one for two whole years!
Which is why I’m understandably over the moon to be back at Chelsea Old Town Hall next week, showing and selling my work , not online but in real life, once more! The Contemporary Craft & Design Fair in Chelsea has always been a real highlight of the craft lovers calendar, collecting together some of the best artisans and craftspeople from a wide variety of disciplines including, but not limited to ceramics, jewellery, textiles, glass, wood, furniture and fashion.
I highly recommend visiting this wonderful craft fair. You can buy tickets on the door, but if you register in advance, using the promo code LCCHEL you’ll get 2 tickets for the price of 1! Or subscribe to my email list and I’ll send you a code for complimentary tickets (while stocks last).
By visiting and shopping at Handmade Chelsea you will:
find quality and uniqueness; products that really can’t be found on the high-street.
support the independent makers and craftspeople who make these exquisite items, helping them to continue their work and keep these crafts alive
get to meet the makers and discover the stories and processes behind their work
be shopping locally, sustainably and thoughtfully. Buying handmade products that are not mass-produced and haven’t flown halfway round the world is good for everyone and the planet!
fall in love with some beautiful things to take home that will make your life that little bit better.
I always end up picking up some beautiful Christmas gifts for loved ones at this show and more often than not some rabulous earrings and ceramics for myself!
Here are some images taken at Handmade Chelsea in previous years, including ones of my stand and knitwear. You can see how gorgeous the building is and what a great atmosphere it is to both exhibit at and to shop at.
